Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TriNetX Tools at trinetxtools.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TriNetX Tools is a SaaS platform that processes de-identified clinical research CSV data exported from TriNetX into publication-ready tables, figures, and statistical outputs. We also offer an AI-powered Study Designer that generates research protocols.

3. Accounts

You must create an account to use paid features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may sign in with email/password or Google OAuth. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• Upload only de-identified data. Do not upload files containing protected health information (PHI) or personally identifiable information (PII) of research subjects.
• Use the Service only for legitimate clinical research purposes.
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or abuse the Service.
• Not share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access.

5. Payments and Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize recurring charges according to your selected tier. You may cancel at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Uploaded CSV data is processed on our servers and automatically deleted within 7 days. For beta features, input and output data may be temporarily retained for quality assurance.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of your uploaded data and the outputs generated from it. We claim no rights to your research data or results. The Service itself, including its design, code, and branding, remains our intellectual property.

8. Not a Substitute for Expert Review

TriNetX Tools is a formatting and analysis automation tool. It is not a substitute for expert methodological review, biostatistical consultation, or IRB oversight. You are solely responsible for the scientific validity and interpretation of your research. AI-generated study designs should be reviewed by qualified researchers before use.

9. Beta Features

Features marked as "Beta" are provided free of charge and may contain bugs or produce inaccurate results. Beta features may be modified or removed at any time. Use beta outputs with appropriate caution and always verify results independently.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any errors in generated outputs, data loss, or damages arising from use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Trademark Notice

"TriNetX" is a registered trademark of TriNetX, LLC. TriNetX Tools is an independent third-party service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TriNetX, LLC. Any use of the TriNetX name is solely to describe compatibility with TriNetX data exports.
